At Kernodle Clinic, our pediatricians care for children from birth through eighteen years of age. We offer a variety of nursery, inpatient, and outpatient services. We provide 24 hour medical coverage with an on call physician for our patients, with weekend hours for acute illness.
We recognize that children are rapidly changing and growing through all the stages of childhood. The purpose of pediatric medicine is to prevent illness and treat minor injuries, infections, and illnesses. This specialty encompasses the physical, emotional, social, and mental health of children. Our pediatricians can assess the physical and mental development of a child as he or she grows through different stages, as well as address acute and chronic diseases.
The Kernodle Clinic Department of Pediatrics can provide services to pediatric patients at our Elon location. For a more expansive list of the services that Kernodle Clinic provides, visit our Pediatric Services page.
Well child visits are one of the most common and important services that a pediatrician can provide. Children need regular check-ups in order to be properly assessed through their levels of development. Maintaining a regular well child visit schedule can ensure that illnesses and potential health risks are addressed as soon as possible. This can be very beneficial in the area of preventative health.
