At Kernodle Pediatrics, we follow the schedule of well visits as outlined by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Regular well visits are the single most important things you can do for the long-term health of your child, so we encourage our families to follow the schedule below to the best of their abilities.
We encourage patients to visit our office annually after the age of 2 for a well visit near the time of their birthday.
Preventative well visits throughout a child’s life are important opportunities to assess the health and function of both a child and his/her family. They also allow an opportunity to establish baselines and trends, making it easier to notice should something appear off.
While it’s easy for parents to get caught up in the milestones, we encourage you to remember that all children grow and develop at different rates across a wide spectrum of what is considered “normal” development.
At each visit, your child’s pediatrician will conduct a thorough examination of your child and discuss any health issues in children that may be of concern.
