Katherine Phillips, FNP-C, MSN, RN

Coming from a nursing background, I decided I wanted to provide compassionate care and strong provider-patient relationships. I believe in creating a safe space where patients can speak freely about their health concerns. I strive to make my patients comfortable by being an active listener as soon as they meet me. Women’s health provides a unique opportunity in medicine to interact with patients throughout different stages of their lives. I began my nursing career in critical care and emergency medicine. Eventually, I went back to school to become a nurse practitioner and now specialize in women’s health. In my free time, I enjoy traveling with my husband, spending time outside with Lincoln (my English Golden Retriever), and watching college football.

Stephen D. Jackson, MD, FACOG

I approach health through prevention, emphasizing healthy eating and lifestyle choices. My professional interests include general health, healthy pregnancy, chronic pelvic pain, high-risk pregnancy, specializing in minimally invasive and robotic surgery and improving surgical outcomes, female infertility, and educating the next generation of caregivers. I make a strong effort at getting to know my patients so I can tailor their treatment according to their values and beliefs. Communication and the doctor-patient relationship are among the aspects of being an OB/GYN that are the most rewarding to me. I love to operate on a variety of conditions and work hard to continue to improve surgical techniques that reduce recovery time and get patients home quickly and safely. I chose this specialty because caring for healthy women and treating specific diseases provides me the opportunity to use a large range of personal skills.

Felicia Dickerson, MSN, RN, CNM

I treat women in various stages of life, from adolescence through menopause. I have always been fascinated with the miracle of life. My fascination grew after speaking to my mother about her birth experience with me and how she felt her doctors and nurses engaged with her while delivering a 28-week-old baby in the early 1980s. As a young teen, I knew that I wanted to become a midwife and that this profession encompassed everything I wanted to do: encourage, support, and empower women. I enjoy being able to connect with younger patients and making them feel comfortable as they transition into adulthood. I am passionate about providing safe holistic, and compassionate care to patients and their families. I love being a part of their journey in wellness and during important, life-changing moments in their lives, whether it is becoming a mother for the first time or welcoming a new addition to the family. I have two teenagers: a son and a daughter. During our free time, we enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching movies, and just hanging out with each other and our dogs.

When I was 16 years old, I had the surprising experience of delivering my baby sister on my mom’s bathroom floor. That moment inspired me to become a midwife and care for women and their families in North Carolina. I am passionate about providing holistic, compassionate midwifery care during pregnancy, birth, and throughout the lifespan, focusing on supporting the family unit. In my spare time, I love hanging out with my fur babies, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
