I am a general cardiologist at Kernodle Clinic with Duke Health, practicing at the Burlington and Mebane locations. I manage cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. I have a particular interest in preventive cardiology. I enjoy educating patients about their heart issues, understanding their priorities, and helping them choose the best available treatment options. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and playing badminton and tennis.
I am a cardiologist at Kernodle Clinic, primarily practicing at our Burlington and Mebane locations. In addition to treating general cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and heart failure, I have a particular interest in women’s heart disease and preventive cardiology. My patients and I work together as a team to set health goals and implement treatment and management plans that fit their lifestyles. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, rock climbing, and hiking with my dog.

I am a recent graduate of Elon University’s Physician Assistant Program, and I look forward to starting my career as a physician assistant with the amazing team at Kernodle Clinic Cardiology. Before PA school, I worked in the cardiology field for three years and knew I had found my niche during this time. I cannot wait to grow my knowledge base and provide patient-centered care for many years to come.
I have 15 years of nursing experience, with the past six years spent working as a nurse practitioner in primary care, where I found my passion for chronic disease management. Chronic disease can be very challenging for patients and families, but with the right management, support, and an excellent provider as a partner in your care, there is great opportunity for living fully with chronic disease. My goal is for patients to feel known and cared for when they see me for their healthcare needs. We are partners throughout your journey with chronic disease. I joined Kernodle Clinic Cardiology with the aim of partnering with patients with chronic heart disease for this reason. Having grown up in Graham, it has been a sweet, full-circle move for me to come back home by joining Kernodle Clinic. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children outdoors, playing, hiking, running, camping, or sitting around a campfire.
I enjoy seeing patients from a variety of backgrounds and spending time connecting with them and their individual concerns. As a physician assistant, I strive to provide high quality care and prevention to reduce risk factors and improve my patient’s quality of life. I am originally from Massachusetts, but the winters in North Carolina were too good pass up. Outside of work, I thoroughly enjoy spending time with my family and hiking with my dogs.
I’m a North Carolina transplant from Louisville, KY since 2012. I have several years of experience working in healthcare, starting as a nursing assistant in inpatient and outpatient settings and the emergency department. I have enjoyed connecting with patients in a multitude of settings and from all walks of life. As a physician assistant, my goal is to provide excellent care, reduce risk factors, and improve quality of life. Outside of work, I’m happiest when I’m spending time with my husband and children.
